Geneva Watch Days

The Experience

The Geneva Watch Days is a watchmaking gathering founded in 2020 by six prestigious watch brands: Breitling, Bulgari, De Bethune, Girard-Perregaux, H. Moser & Cie. and MB&F. The event is based on a modern and unconventional philosophy that emphasizes straightforward cooperation. It is a selfmanaged organization that is light, flexible, and agile, providing a common space to showcase the latest developments in watchmaking, while giving participating brands the opportunity to host decentralized activities. Held in partnership with the State and the City of Geneva, and with the support of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCIG), the gathering is completely open to the public while catering to industry professionals including retailers and media. The Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH), the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), and Geneva Tourism endorse the project, with GMT as its longstanding media partner.

Get ready for the ultimate watch event as Geneva Watch Days 2024 takes its place on the watch calendar with a fifth unforgettable installment from August 29 to September 2. This year’s exhibition will be the biggest yet, with 51 participating Maisons. They will showcase their latest releases at the Rotonde du Mont-Blanc Pavilion on Lake Geneva, as well as at boutiques and venues throughout the city.

A press conference and the official inauguration, in partnership with the State and City of Geneva, will kick off the festivities Thursday, August 29. Then, from Friday, August 30, the Pavilion will open to the public daily until Monday, September 2 included, where visitors can discover the participating brands’ latest novelties, all arranged by theme. Free guided tours are available every afternoon for anyone interested in gaining additional insight into the world of fine watches. These tours will begin at the pavilion and travel to various brands’ boutiques and showrooms, where guests will receive a warm welcome.

Media representatives and watch enthusiasts will have the chance to interact with representatives from both established and new brands, conduct interviews with CEOs, and experience the warm and energetic atmosphere that sets the tone for the event.

SYMPOSIUMS

Experts from the watch world will share their vision on different topics. These panels are open to the public. Join at the Geneva Watch Days new Glass box, next to the Pavilion, at the Rotonde du Mont-Blanc. Final program to be confirmed. More activities such as breakfasts, brunches and press conferences will be announced soon.

AUCTION

CHF 110,000 was raised thanks to a charity auction organized jointly by Geneva Watch Days and Phillips in collaboration with Bacs & Russo on August 30, 2023. This was used to set up the “Pierre Amstutz Fund” in memory of the former Director of the Geneva Watchmaking School – a non-profit organization aimed at supporting students in need, enabling them to complete their training in better conditions. It is a mark of the industry’s solidarity and determination to protect its expertise. The path is now open for a new auction in 2024.

'The Geneva Watch Days was born in 2020 after the cancellations of Baselworld and Watches & Wonders, due to the pandemic. New rules for a new world: decentralized, inclusive, agile and open to the public. Today, more innovative than ever, we continue to celebrate high horology in its cradle - Geneva.'
JEAN-CHRISTOPHE BABIN, CEO OF BVLGARI
