Geneva Watch Days

The Experience

Launched in 2020 by six Founding Members – Breitling, Bvlgari, De Bethune, Girard-Perregaux, H. Moser & Cie. and MB&F – the decentralized event has grown to become a cornerstone for the watchmaking community.

The concept? A common pavilion to showcase the brands’ timepieces to the public, discus current topics, and celebrate high horology, as well as decentralized locations—boutiques or hotels—for each Maison to welcome watch enthusiasts.

The philosophy? A relaxed and festive atmosphere, a simple yet efficient organization, all with the Jet d’Eau in sight, in the late summer heat.

There are more than 100 exceptional timepieces waiting to be discovered at Rotonde du Mont-Blanc, August 29th – September 2nd.

Held in partnership with the State and the City of Geneva, and with the support of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCIG), the gathering is completely open to the public while catering to industry professionals including retailers and media. The Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH), the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), Horopedia, the Ecole d’Horlogerie de Genève, the Watch Library and Geneva Tourism endorse the project, with GMT as its longstanding media partner. Revolution Magazine, Le Temps, WatchPro, Europastar and Euronews are media partners as well.

A press conference and the official inauguration, in partnership with the State and City of Geneva, will kick off the festivities Thursday, August 29. Then, from Friday, August 30, the Pavilion will open to the public daily until Monday, September 2 included, where visitors can discover the participating brands’ latest novelties, all arranged by theme. Free guided tours are available every afternoon for anyone interested in gaining additional insight into the world of fine watches. These tours will begin at the pavilion and travel to various brands’ boutiques and showrooms, where guests will receive a warm welcome.

GWD – 24 HOURS IN ZURICH

Let\’s sail from Geneva to Zurich!

A teaser event took place on June 4, 2024 in Zurich to provide a sneak peek of the upcoming celebrations. During this “Geneva Watch Days, 24 hours in Zurich” event, the final list of participants has been unveiled. Upon invitation, 520 media representatives and watch enthusiasts had the chance to interact with 31 representatives from both established and new brands, conduct interviews with CEOs, and experience the warm and energetic atmosphere that sets the tone for the event.

SYMPOSIUMS

Experts from the watch world will share their vision on different topics. These panels are open to the public. Join at the Geneva Watch Days new Glass box, next to the Pavilion, at the Rotonde du Mont-Blanc. Final program to be confirmed. More activities such as breakfasts, brunches and press conferences will be announced soon.

AUCTION

CHF 110,000 was raised last year thanks to a charity auction organized jointly by Geneva Watch Days and Phillips in collaboration with Bacs & Russo on August 30, 2023. This was used to set up the “Pierre Amstutz Fund” in memory of the former Director of the Geneva Watchmaking School – a non-profit organization aimed at supporting students in need, enabling them to complete their training in better conditions. It is a mark of the industry’s solidarity and determination to protect its expertise. The path is now open for a new auction in 2024.
